Pamela graduated from the National Taiwan University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Prior to joining Raffles Hospital, Pamela worked in Singapore General Hospital, in the areas of orthopaedics rehabilitation, upper limb rehabilitation and geriatrics rehabilitation. 

Pamela has worked extensively with patients with upper limb and hand injuries such as repetitive strain injuries, traumatic injuries including bone fractures, tendon injury, nerve injury and crush amputation injury. She places great emphasis on the importance of hand function and overall function in her patients. She strives to use innovative and evidence-based methods to maximise functional recovery after injury. 

Apart from clinical work, Pamela is also actively involved in research. She presented a systematic review on “The effectiveness of Functional Electrical Stimulation in acute hemiplegic patients” at the 10th Congress of Asia Pacific Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand in 2014. She also contributed to the development of the proximal phalanx fracture therapy protocol with the introduction of a new splint design to the hand surgeons in the Singapore General Hospital.
